Stay
the night

Where  to stay

If you're planning on celebrating until midnight with us (which of course we hope you are) then you'll probably need to find a place to rest your head at the end of the festivities.

Luckily, there's plenty of options in and around Bicester. We've grouped these into sections so you can find something that suits your taste and budget.

Bicester Village is kind of a big deal when it comes to shopping (if you know you know!) so you could make a weekend of it and fold in some retail therapy while you're here. But, if you need to get back to your digs and kids, you'll probably be able to catch the last train home, too. Whatever suits you!

The Dozing Duck
and other Airbnbs

This cute little pad is a private luxurious garden annexe, with large en-suite bathroom and super kingsize bed located in Hethe (about 12 minutes away).

Apparently they'll even deliver a breakfast hamper with fresh sourdough bread, croissants, marmalade and jams. Sounds like morning-after-the-night-before heaven.

This is only one example of properties available on Airbnb. We recommend booking early to nab the best spots.

Hot tip: If you know a bunch of other people heading to the wedding, it could be worth joining forces and renting a bigger pad for the night.

The Pointer
and other restaurants
with rooms

15 mins away | 8 rooms | ££

The Pointer is based in the pretty village of Brill, about 15 minutes away from Bicester. Apparently, J.R.R. Tolkein based the Lord of the Rings village of Bree on this quaint Buckinghamshire beauty.

The Pointer has a total of eight rooms and we like the look of its cosy, rustic interiors. If this isn't available there are other restaurants with rooms and/or bed and breakfast options in the surrounding area.

The Lion at Wendlebury
and other bed & breakfasts

8 mins away | ££

The Lion mixes the charm of a traditional country pub with the clean, cosy touches you'd want from a B&B.

There are thirteen rooms, all located on two floors in a large, L-shaped Cotswold stone barn a courtyard away from the main pub building. Book direct with the Lion and you'll get brekkie (English fry-up or continental breakfast) thrown in too.

Other B&Bs in the area that we like the look of include Manor Farm and the Old School.

The Chesterton Hotel
and other hotels

10 mins away | ££-£££

Less traditional than the other options, and more "trendy" (aka dark wood floors and walls), the Chesterton Hotel has 18 boutique rooms, and offers all the amenities you'd expect from a countryside hotel.

There are other fancier options in the area like if you're looking for something with a bit more oomph, like the Bicester Hotel Golf & Spa, which has its own golf course and spa (clue's in the name).
